We don’t like labels, but Google does
One of the things that distinguishes us from other approaches is that we don’t focus on labels. Unfortunately, Google loves labels so to increase your chances of finding the best therapist for you, we’ve provided some Google friendly pages. We hope they demonstrate how flexible our approach enables us to be at helping you regardless of the label you’ve been given, or the box you’ve been put into.
What it boils down to is this…
Someone on our register could see six people with the label of anxiety, or PTSD, or weight loss, and each could potentially experience a very different course of treatment. This is because the problem you arrive with is like the tip of the iceberg – it’s the bit we can see, but it’s what underneath that has most weight. If you just chip away at the surface more will just float to the surface. What lies beneath is a pattern of thoughts, feeling and memories that have evolved since childhood in a particular way to guide your behaviour in situations your unconscious thinks are threatening – to either your physical safety or your self-esteem.
