Questival 2022

2022

Questival is a one day annual event, hosted by QCHPA (Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapists Practitioners Association). Each year we invite speakers at the forefront of groundbreaking research around how the mind works, therapeutic models, neuroscience and psychology, to offer inspiring insights into their work and lives.

This year (after a 2 year break due to the pandemic), we have an exciting mix of powerful discussions around hot therapeutic and political topics, and vibrant interactive presentations.

You’ll learn from the founder of Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy himself, Trevor Silvester, as well as a direct trainee of Pia Mellody – a well respected authority on developmental trauma. You’ll also learn powerful techniques from the pioneer of an exciting approach to changing your brain chemistry through the power of story telling and rhythm.

Speakers and topics will include:

Tom Morley: Rockstar Activator and Connection Stimulator

Following his time in the music business with the 80s band Scritti Politti, Tom has developed a truly artistic way of living where every experience leads him to the humorous uncovering of some universal truth.

He turns his disasters and successes into stand-up comedy for conference audiences. 40 years onstage, first behind a drum kit then being the multi-talented front man for whole troupes of performers earned him the name ‘The Rhythmic Ringmaster’.

Hilary Betts: Trauma and Addiction Specialist

Hilary Thompson Betts began her journey into understanding addiction in 1997 and started to work in the field in 2000. She received her Master of Science degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling from the University of Greenwich in 2006. Also in 2006 she further trained in Post Induction Therapy and several intensives with Pia Mellody, of the Meadows in Arizona USA, (Inner Child and Trauma/Shame Reduction) to allow her to work with ‘Survivor’s’ of Childhood Abuse/Trauma. She also completed intensive training for Sexual Addiction with Maureen Canning, also of the Meadows, Arizona, USA.

Since leaving the Priory in 2012, Hilary’s clinical work extends to her private practice in Harley Street, central London, and Sandy, Bedfordshire, treating individuals, couples, and families, and ‘Survivor’s’ Workshops.

Trevor Silvester: Founder of Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Trevor developed QCH in 2000, after discovering his passion for helping people change limiting subconscious patterns when he took up a counselling training at Hendon Police College, during an 18 year career in the police force. After 25 years of studying and training students in the Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy model, Trevor has a keen interest in traditional and modern approaches to neuropsychology, mind expansion and shamanism.

Trevor will be delivering an inspiring talk titled: ‘The Power of Polarity – How exploring opposites can help towards wholeness’.
